I was thinking of paying of Equity Loan 1 (K) with the credit I have available on Loan #2 to get the lower interest rate even though it’s variable. Is that a smart move or too risky in this economic climate?
What do you suggest I do?

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009If a person signs for a home equity loan as a grantor and the signer/borrower dies what happens? Is the grantor liable for the financial terms of the loan? Both the grantor and borrower are on the deed of the property. Thank you in advance for your responses.

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009I have had a dream know for about three years to start a boat repair business. I have been in the industry for about ten years now and know lots of people that could use my services. I have a huge mortage payment and feel like I can not leave my present employer and be able to make my mortage payment right away. I feel like if I could get a loan I could make it in the long run without a problem. I have good credit but no money. With the real estate market crashing, I dont think I have any equity on my house to get a home equity loan. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can not start business now because it would be conflict of interest with my current employer. Please help!!
Buying vs. Renting in Washington D.C. area? Mortgage the way to go?
Monday, September 14th, 200927 years old, married (wife is 23), no kids. My FICO score is 620. Combined take home household income of 00 per month (after taxes). Currently renting an apartment for 50 a month. I work in downtown DC so I cannot move to far away into the suburbs – must be metro accessible. I’ve heard a lot about renting being "throwing away your money". Should I do all I can to find a lender that will lend me money to buy a house or a condo? Would a monthly payment for a house or condo be less than I’m paying in rent at the apartment? Everyone says you must not wait to buy, and that renting is throwing away your money. Because of that, I’ve been thinking of getting a zero-down type loan, or even entering into an ARM mortgage….from what I understand it’s better to do that so long as you own and are not supporting a landlord. Is that true?

Sunday, August 30th, 2009Something they don’t normally tell you when you are online looking for a home and when you think it looks like your dream home your hopes are let down because the agent says nope sorry not an FHA approved home so on the other hand that cancels out the fact I could use my VA loan. I don’t want a conventional loan because even though I can aford the 20 percent max down payment I would much rather use an FHA loan considering its less then a 100k loan I am asking for, better yet to build myself more equity in the mean time. So does anyone know a good site to enter an MLS and it will let you know whether or not the property is FHA approved?
